Dining Out

Although the Fairville Inn serves only breakfast and afternoon tea, there are many fine restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. We encourage you to explore the following list as representative of the fine dining in the Brandywine Valley, and there are certainly other fine restaurants to choose from. The Inn also maintains a book of current menus from many of these restaurants. Advance reservations are highly recommended, particularly on weekend evenings. Our staff would be pleased to discuss your dining needs and to assist with reservations.

Restaurant Specials
Among our favorite area restaurants are  Simon Pearce and Pace One.
We have made special arrangements with both to offer our guests discounted dining certificates.

The Simon Pearce gift certificate costs $63 and can be redeemed at the restaurant for $75.  In addition to the dining discount, the certificate also entitles you to a 10 percent discount on any purchase of first quality glass, ceramics, and more at the Simon Pearce retail store.   Demonstrations of the classic art of glassblowing are also held at Simon Pearce from Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 7pm.

The Pace One dining certificate costs $60 and can be redeemed at the restaurant for $75.  Enjoy the comforts of Pace One -- especially the patio dining area.

If either of these restaurants appeals to you as they do to us, you can't go wrong.  As we like to say, you can do the math. No advance purchase required, but reservations for dinner are highly recommended. Certificates are valid for dinner for two (additional dining certificates can be purchased for larger dining parties).

What Our Guests Are Saying

"Thanks for everything. Beautiful setting, great company, and wonderful food. We enjoyed every moment."
B.J.

"This has to be the best b&b I have ever experienced. Rick and Laura are so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The rooms are homely and comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. Breakfast is fantastic and Rick was only to happy to accommodate my egg allergy. The gardens are well kept and a delight to experience.I give you both 11 marks out of 10. Thanks for a great stay"

"We had a wonderful experience at the Fairville Inn. The innkeepers were warm and friendly and offered excellent advice about what to do and where to dine. Our room was clean and welcoming and the grounds are lovely. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Each day was a new creation. We are looking forward to our next stay."
